Multiple Desktop Computers

There are 2 ways to connect multiple desktop computers to the Internet. You can also mix Standard and Slim Case computers with no problem. You can also have a non-wireless laptop with this system.

Each method has it's own pro's and con's. Here's our offerings and explanations for each type:

Method 1 - Preferred

We install a Workgroup Bridge Radio, antenna and coax cable, plus a router and all necessary CAT5 ethernet cabling to connect 2 or more computers together. This method allows 2 or more computers to get on the Internet independantly from each other. It's like having multiple Internet connections in your home or office!

Installation includes a Workgroup Bridge Radio, Router, Antenna and cabling for 2 computers
$325
Distance Installation

If you live more than 4 miles from one of our transmitters, you will probably need the High Gain Antenna.  Some closer in situations may also need this option due to trees and other obstacles

$390
Cabling
The above includes all cabling for 2 computers. For more than 2 computers, we charge for the cabling and installation.
$1 per foot
Switches
The above equipment allows up to 4 computers to be connected. If you need more than 4, we will quote you for a higher capacity switch - up to 24 ports. Please note - if you have more than 5 computers, we will charge an additional fee per computer per month due to the increased bandwidth you will be using.

Ethernet Port
Each computer must have an ethernet port. If your's isn't working or you don't have one, we can install one in your machine
$20

Method 2 - Low Cost

With this kind of installation, one computer must be a Standard Size computer. Computer #2 is fed the Internet from Computer #1 (the Standard Sized one). The advantage is lower cost; the disadvantage is that Computer #1 must be turned ON in order for Computer #2 to get the Internet. Should Computer #1 get a Virus or become inoperative, then both computers go offline.

Also, you can only have 2 Desktop computers connected maximum.

Important - BOTH computers must be running Windows XP or Windows Vista
